Friday morning the new Director Todd and two young men from Greenleaf Friends Academy took the truck to Twin Falls
to pick up “some” items from the St. Lukes Magic Valley Medical Center there. Rich Murtland and Dave Beckman drove down in Dave’s truck to help load. This had been planned for some time and contact had been made on several occasions during the week. On Thursday afternoon – there was an incling that we might be receiving more than we had originally been told about, so the staff got online and on the phones to see if they could reserve a U-Haul truck in case we needed it. For some strange reason – there was not a U-Haul truck available in a 100 mile radius of that location on that day. When Todd and the boys, along with Rich and Dave arrived, they were lead into a large room and told that they could take whatever they could load. Todd immediately got on the phone back to the office in Nampa and asked them to please stop what they were doing and pray and then ”find a truck”. The boys all gathered around and prayed on site and within 5 minutes, Liz called letting them know that a U-Haul store had just received a truck back and we could have it – and gave the address of the location – 2 blocks away from them!!!!! God is amazing! They loaded both trucks full to bring back, and will be unloading them into a packed warehouse on Monday morning at 7:00am. Come help if you can!
With the changes in the office, and the new cubicles that will allow more volunteers to have workcenters, we had been given 6 computers minus the screens. This had been a prayer item for Todd and he dismissed the idea of purchasing the needed flat screen monitors that were on sale, feeling that God had provided the cubicles free of charge and the computers free of charge -surely He was going to provide the monitors free of charge also…….the hospital in Twin Falls just happened to have 6 flat screen monitors that we could have if we had a need and they just happen to match the rest of the monitors in the office, so it looks as if we had planned it. Miracles do still happen. And it is exciting to see when God steps in and provides when we didn’t see a way.
We want to say a special thank you to Paul Lauden, Facilities Contractor for the St. Lukes Magic Valley Medical Center, for all of his help in locating and providing Hands of Hope Northwest with much needed equipment.
